Call for Stories Submission

Purpose

To preserve the stories, experiences, and contributions of the firefighters, families, and leaders who shaped the Progressive Fire Fighters Association of Washington, DC and influenced the fire service for future generations.

What the project could collect over time:

  • Video interviews with retired firefighters and past presidents
  • Audio recordings for a podcast or archive
  • Historic photographs with captions
  • Scanned newsletters, programs, and meeting minutes
  • Awards, uniforms, badges, and memorabilia
  • Family stories from spouses and childre
  • "Firsts" and milestone achievements
  • Lessons learned for future generations
