Our Journey

1968

PFFADC is Established

Founded to advocate for Black firefighters, promote professional development, and strengthen representation within the fire service.

1970s - 1990s

Building a Legacy That Still Shapes Us Today

Expanded advocacy, mentorship, networking, and professional support while helping firefighters navigate promotions, leadership opportunities, and workplace challenges.

2000s

Strengthening Community Connections

Increased involvement in community outreach, youth engagement, fire prevention initiatives, and partnerships throughout the Washington metropolitan area.
